Well, I had been figuring on Sunday night or Monday before, since they had said they'd be migrating on Saturday and Sunday. But it seems like it might be until sometime in the middle of the week now. I just hope that when it does come back, all the downtime pays off and the site is fast, robust, and secure. I got a few FR stories to write and some descriptions to flesh out, at least, so I should be good for a few more days, but it's certainly frustrating.

It makes me sad to see some people happy that the downtime is going to last longer, and sad that the downtime is almost done. Wtf. I don't understand.

Not sure who you mean, Cueball, but I'm guessing that they probably are hoping the site is fixed as well as possible. I certainly hope it's back as soon as possible and I miss playing FR badly, but I'm trying to be patient.
In general, though, people have their own feelings. Doesn't invalidate how you feel.

Just random chatter I see here and there. Along with the drama-mongering and the general lack of care about anything but the bad things about the site. I think they want the site to stay down and to go under, just because. It sucks, because I enjoy FR as much (maybe a bit more) then Wajas. If you don't like a site, then go away and stop trying to bring it down. And stop bashing it around people who like it so much.
I'm glad to be around people who actually care and want the site up here. Its a nice change.

Don't let the turkeys get you down, as my mother used to say. There will always be jerks and idiots in the world. Ignore em. I know that's easier said than done, but I'd try to avoid places like that. It's why I try to never read comments on news stories!

That's exactly the boat I'm in. Hopefully I'll have fleshed-out descriptions of all or most of my dragons by the time the site is back up. I'd also like to get a good description of my lair and surrounding lands written up. |

I think quite a lot of people misunderstood their first statement... it surprises me a little that they didn't actually correct people on that right away, but rather waited until now and as a result seem to have pissed off a bunch of people and made others disappointed.
I think possibly they could do with ambassador type mods who could communicate between the main staff and the memberbase when the admins are busy with non-social site-work. But ohwell.
For myself, it's not as if I don't have anything to do :U all the roleplays and arts need doing so I'm actually quite busy...

My free time will be spent practising drawing my dragons. For some reason I just can't.

I'm actually rather happy they're going to keep it down for a bit longer. From what I understood, their code was weak in the first place so they may need time to recode the whole site here and there. More servers may not be the answer, but if they made their code leaner and better it would help immensely.
