From IRC it was theorized that it had to do with a post the mod made that talked about a certain user in a way that violated FR's ToS (the post was deleted so unfortunately this is also hearsay).
Honestly, we know little to nothing about this situation. We don't even know for certain that the tumblr user claiming to be the mod's friend is actually their friend. All we know is that the mod is no longer a mod. For what reason? Unknown, and unlikely to be revealed as it is part of FR's policy to not discuss such matters.

aaah, yeah. I actually like that they're keeping it private. Who was it that brought this to light? Was it the mod who was dismissed?

Nope, it was the tumblr user I believe is linked in the first post of this thread.
So, basically, we know nothing. Ahaha, so much drama over what could possibly be a complete and total fabrication. And the whole "their site was taken down" thing was probably more due to the drama that ensued from the tumblr posting than anything else. It all could've gone down quietly if they'd just... not.

While good in that it protects the privacy of the people in question, it's also bad in that it leads to rampant speculation. Which can lead to even more stuff being dug up, so idk. It's a tricky thing.

Thats true.
Maybe a brief explanation should be given? Just something like "this moderator didnt follow the ToS on the site" or "Moderator was hostile towards other people" or something more general like "Moderator was let go because they were too busy"

You know, when this whole drama stuff started, I never read anywhere, about anything having to do with religion or being an otherkin. Where did those rumors come from?
All in all, it kind of miffs me about how drama on FR blows up so quickly and out of proportion-ly. It seems like everything that happens on FR is a big effing deal to everyone, even before all the facts are revealed. I find that highly annoying. Sadly, seems like people are quick to judge. Most seem to not remember the older days of Wajas when it was 10x worse with downtime, and even mod drama. I -still- haven't seen mods/admins completely and utterly refusing to listen to anyone and everything, either. Seems to me that they just aren't caving in to players as much as some players are used to. Remember the Susan the Horse drama that unfolded on Wajas? I hated that, really.
So far, the drama on FR has been annoying to me. I like FR, I like Wajas, and FR is brand new like Wajas was once before. Mistakes are made, but it really feels like people just grab it and run instead of even thinking of giving them a chance.

I think as long as they make clear to the specific previous mod as to why they were removed, it's all fine. And really, maybe it's something personal and maybe that person would rather it wasn't a public thing.
Hopefully the reasons have been made clear to the now ex-mod as to why, and he/she can choose to inform the membership of it themselves, if he/she wants. I don't imagine they would have to, though.

But seriously, some people on FR need to grow up and not bring personal matters / beliefs into the game. It's supposed to be a light-hearted environment for people to relax in, not to instigate drama and persecute people e_o

There is a cult for everything on Tumblr. And the Internet gives some people the audacity to think that they can be rude and get away with it. It is very easy to forget that there are other people plunking away on their keyboard and are more than just pixels on a screen. And I find that while people always laugh it off and say "it's just a game" and in this case, "they're dragons!!!" they actually mean a lot to some people and some people will take FR very seriously. I have given FR money and I take it seriously. Those who are not paying might just not care, but I care because I want to see the game continued and thrive and such and thus giving them money is a good way to do it. That was a little off topic but whatever.
