Just wondering how people made their choices for designing their first dragon. Me, I used to play DragCave years ago, and my first or second dragon there was . . . I think the breed was called Storm? Anyway, I had named him 2000 Years, and decided that he was the leader of all of my dragon. So, when I started at FR, I decided to make my first dragon as near to him as I could: I thought the Guardian was closest, build-wise, and I made the colours as near as I could remember, and I named him TwothousandYears. He even wound up having a grey tertiary, so he's all greyscale, which is cool. He's that fellow over there in my avatar. ETA: he is also below in his full glory:

I just like purple and lavender is a lovely shade (though if I'd had more patience, I would have seen mulberry and definitely gone with that, as it reminds me of an exclusive/premium color on this other MMO that I play) and on that other game, monochromatic (especially black) is a sign of wealth plus it's also just a nice combination.

Aaah I'm boring! I knew I wanted a female dragon and decided I liked female Guardians most, then I just played around with colours until I found something I liked the look of.

RheaYour OC is adorable. I especially enjoy his love for the little bug. JuliaOh, wow, he's beautiful. I agree mulberry would have made him truly majestic, but he's lovely as he is. PirateWell, boring maybe for lacking external inspiration, but you used that to make such a wonderful dragon within the FR template. (Also: so much squee about how the birdskull gear practically matches her belly and feet.)

 I very briefly played around with the colors and picked this right away u.u though now I wish I would have waited and picked other colors. I really want a dragon based off my OC Arilaae and I don't know why I didn't make the only dragon I could customize based off her xD I guess I got too excited for the game to be up that I did not think. |

I like darkness and red on dragons. I about flipped a table when my random mate turned out to be a green guardian with yellow wings  They made pretty babbies though, so... |

 I probably picked Ice because I was thinking of the flight I'd just joined or something. I thought Steel looked nice to match the cool tint of the primary. If I could redo him, I'd probably go with actual White, maybe, I don't know. I think I lucked out with the tertiary of Charcoal, even though I have no plans to add a gene there yet. c: |

XD001Pika - A progenitor is a first-generation dragon you get upon signing up. Your first progen is designed by you -- you pick the Primary and Secondary colors as well as the species from the 4 plentiful breeds. You also get a second progenitor, but it is randomly generated and is the opposite gender of your custom-created one. ^^

Oh okay. Let me go fetch her then :3  Her colors are, (Primary) Silver, (secondary)Ice, and (Tertiary) Blood. I don't really use my treasure on clothing. So I just get clothing from chests. |

I read the breed descriptions and decided I liked the look and sound of the Guardians best, and then just played with color combos I like. It came down to Caribbean/Fire or Chocolate and something blue. I settled on the latter and am suuuuper happy with how she turned out, especially with the Lightning element eyes:
...and then of course the auto-progen came out with colors that make my eyes cross. |

I based lil Candle on an OC I've been bouncing around for the past... decade? decade I think. I'm currently saving up to change her into a beautiful shimmery hyperactive Spiral.  and this is the OC in her latest incarnation  and then FR gave me a gross squash-colored dude to be her mate and im like 'she is way too good for this goofball' |

I like the colors black and red HAHA so I slapped something in those ranges on my dragon, I liked Guardians because I always liked the bulkier built dragons(like deathwing from WoW lsdjkfafsd)
His mate was something of a monstrosity in my opinion, her colors were Magenta/Sunshine/idr the tert |
