Last saturday i went to a poultry and machinery sale and happened upon a pen of 6 tibetan variety coturnix quail which i managed to get at £20, 2 girls got lucky with one of the boys so i know there's hens in there ^-^... there were 6 Pharoah too but they were ALL male and made £30!!!! o.O shock**
Quailies!
They have a new sand bath and hide now... just need to work on a new run adaptation or move them to one of my double tiered hutches but i want them in for the winter so i need to have a good ponder.
Also i'm taking some of my poultry to another sale this saturday... and in the catalogue is listed this -
.1 pair of italian quail
.4 japanese quail hens
.4 japanese quail hens
.4 japanese quail hens
big bonus is this is the sale that the quail buyers rarely go to and we've picked them up for a cheap as 50p a bird before now... i'm making sure i have some hutches ready just incase ^-^
